FAQs
What’s the difference between Level 1, 2, and 3 masks?
The ASTM levels indicate filtration and fluid resistance. Level 1 is suitable for low-risk procedures, Level 2 for moderate exposure, and Level 3 for high-risk or surgical environments.
How often should masks be replaced?
Disposable masks should be changed between patients or immediately if they become damp or soiled.
Do face shields replace masks?
No. Face shields protect against splashes but do not filter airborne particles, so they should be used in combination with masks.
